This cushion is unapologetically orange and I think we could all do with a bit more of that in our lives. A charming patchwork that your Nan would love, each patch is shaped like a coffin and the fabrics contain bats, pumpkins, stars and geometric prints - sorry Nan.
The cushion front is made of 100% cotton, selected and pieced by myself, piped with black velvet and backed with a fabulous orange chenille. This cushion measures 18” x 18” and comes complete with a quality insert also made in the UK.
Coffin patchworks are my absolute favourite thing to make. Each one is completely unique and won’t be repeated. The patchwork is made using a method called paper piecing, where the patches of fabric are temporarily held in shape by being tacked to a piece of coffin shaped paper, giving me the perfect opportunity to place the images on the fabric exactly where I want them.
