My Happy Place Black Patchwork Quilt

This is a special quilt. It has a beautiful weight that feels sumptuous and comforting, whilst the quality fabrics will last for years to come. The front is made of squares of velvet, corduroy, wool, cotton, vegan leather, satin and a lovely soft moleskin. I have then layered this with wadding and backed the quilt with black cotton. The edges are bound in black satin which I have hand sewn, so there is no stitching visible. I have echoed the squares for quilting, which makes an interesting pattern on the reverse.
